| What's ayurveda ? | Ayurveda in sanskrit means `Science of Life` This health system originated in India more than 5000 years ago. The ayurvedic science teaches how to restore and maintain balance between body, mind and consciousness. Ayurveda is recongnised by World Health Organisation as a true health system. More than a science, it is a self discovery. We live in a time where rythme of life is getting faster and faster, the massive development in the field of information and technology all over the world is reflecting on our life style, often damaging our physical, mental and spiritual health. So, Ayurveda teaches self discovery, encouraging us to know who we are, why we are in good or bad health, how to increase our pleasure of being ourselves and make the most out of our life. |
| Ayurvedic Massage | The Sattvic contact , which means pure and sincere approach, is the basic technique of Ayurvedic massage. The Ayurvedic massage is a day to day practise, a way to reach out to the other person, to touch his being, to relaxe him, even to comfort him. To receive a massage is to accept a token of care, but also to accept ourselves the way we are, feel relaxed, here and now. Ayurveda uses numerous massage oils, essential oils, herbal preparations, We will be using maily sesame, coconut, olive oil. The philosophy of Ayurveda is to care, share and listen to other`s needs, so naturally massage involved no violent steps which would hurt the receiver`s internal harmony.
The aim of the workshop is to discover the joy of living, to preserve the health of ourselves and our dear and near ones, in our daily life. |
